I love working with other amazing vendors on wedding shoots that break the traditional idea of things, including this Summer Solstice Elopement that happened at Ray’s Boathouse!
While when a lot of people hear the word “Elopement” they think of two distinct things, one a simple courthouse marriage with just the two of you or getting married on some epic mountain somewhere, there is really no set way to have an Elopement!
Ray’s Boathouse is the perfect venue for your elopement or wedding, and I love working with the couples who get married there so much that I actually offer a slight discount to my couples who are getting married there and book me! (If that is you, then hey hey! Drop me a inquiry and let me show you how much I love that venue!) The views at Ray’s Boathouse are stunning, and it’s so close to Golden Gardens that a lot of my couples make time in their day to pop over there for some of their portraits too!
I worked with the amazing wedding planning team, The Eventists, on this styled elopement.
And I absolutely LOVE working with them, they take not only such amazing care of their couples, but they nail the details every single time as well (look at these invites from My Lovely Letters)! When we first started talking about this shoot, they said they wanted it to embody the feelings of summer winding down, the sun it setting earlier and earlier each day and the comforting feeling of fall is settling in. This shoot was to embody the emotions you feel during this time of year.
