Grace’s Cake Smash

Meet Grace, a bubbly little girl who just celebrated her first birthday:

I’ve been photographing little Gracie ever since she was a wee little newborn, and I’ve been looking forward to her cake smash session ever since! So while I was on vacation in Carlsbad, California, we took advantage of the beautiful beach on a great cloudy day. I had so much fun planning this session, which included antique shopping for a vintage surf board, looking for balloons to match her funky little tutu, and of course finding the location (you can’t ever go wrong with the beach, right?!). Grace was the happiest little model ever, but who couldn’t be happy eating a cake in a big pink dress with the ocean as your background, right?  Happy birthday Grace, can’t wait till the next time I photograph you 🙂
